Position Overview We are seeking meticulous and physically driven String Trimmer Operators to join our Jacksonville crew. This position is strictly focused on string trimming (weed whacking) around obstacles, fences, structures, and slopes where large mowers cannot reach. This is a highly physically demanding role requiring excellent stamina and precision to maintain clean lines across residential communities. Key Responsibilities Strictly Trimming Operations: Run commercial 2-stroke string trimmers continuously along routes, property boundaries, and around obstacles. Precision Line Definition: Trim grass cleanly around foundations, fence lines, trees, utilities, and retention areas to perfectly match the height of the mowing deck. Slope & Obstacle Management: Confidently navigate steeper banks, ditches, and tight landscape areas that require specialized manual trimming. Tool Maintenence: Manage trimmer line replacement on the go and perform basic daily upkeep on your assigned equipment. Site Safety: Maintain total situational awareness regarding thrown debris, ensuring clear space around homes, cars, and pedestrians while wearing all company-provided PPE. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Prior experience with commercial-grade string trimmers/weed whackers preferred. Incredible physical endurance to operate heavy hand-held equipment outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions. Punctuality, strong work ethic, and sharp attention to detail. Ability to keep pace with the primary mowing units to maintain route efficiency.
