Controller

Job Description We are seeking an experienced controller to oversee all accounting and financial functions for our manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in managing financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory control, and supporting operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting experience and the ability to partner with operations to improve efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities Financial & Accounting Oversight Supervise all accounting functions including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with tax and reporting requirements Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting Coordinate audits and work with external accountants as needed Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Oversee cost accounting, job costing, and margin analysis Track labor, material, and overhead costs for production Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs Support pricing decisions through cost and profitability analysis Inventory & Operations Support Oversee inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods Partner with production and purchasing teams to control costs and improve efficiency Develop and monitor operational KPIs and financial metrics Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 10 – 15 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills CPA, MBA, CMA preferred but not required Preferred Experience Manufacturing, metal fabrication, or construction-related industry experience Controller or senior accounting role experience Experience supporting operational management and production teams Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Benefits package (health, PTO, retirement) Key leadership role with direct impact on business performance Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
