Peering Network Engineer

Infogain has an exciting opportunity to join our network infrastructure teams as a Peering Network Engineer. In this role, you will support new PoP and data center builds, NOC support activities, and network deployment initiatives.Responsibilities include rack and stack, installation of racks and devices, device testing, software and firmware upgrades, re-bootstrapping, decommissioning, and network optimization activities such as migrations, swaps, re-stripes, and capacity upgrades.Experience/Skills:CCNA/CCNP/JNCIPExperience in new PoP or Datacenter builds, and/or NOC support.Understanding of PoP infrastructure, being familiar with concepts such as MMR, cross connect, peering, cage, patch panel, ODF.Solid understanding of fiber-optic technology including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies.Hands-on experience with rack and stack activities, including installation, cabling, and turn-up of new racks and network devices.Experience in device installation and testing, software/firmware upgrade, re-bootstrapping and decommission.Experience in network optimization (re-stripes, migrations, upgrades, swaps, capacity upgrades).Strong experience in troubleshooting support.Knowledge of Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, Cisco, Arista and ZPE systems (Network Deployment)Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skills.Excellent experience in maintaining documentation.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools, and creative problem-solving abilities under pressure.Programming and scripting capabilities are strongly desired.Excellent communication skills and project management experience is welcome.Ability to work within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision.J-18808-Ljbffr
