Special Education Teacher - Aurora, CO

Job Description Bachelor&#39;s or Master&#39;s degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available, offering a contract through March 2, 2026, with potential extension depending on district needs. This role is based in the Aurora, CO area, with the exact school location to be determined. Immediate start is required.Candidates must hold a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Professional Teacher License with a Generalist Endorsement covering ages 5-21. Temporary, substitute, interim, or traveler licenses will not be accepted unless the Special Education license with the appropriate endorsement has already been applied for and proof is provided. The license should be formatted as follows:Professional Teacher License #000000Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21)This position is not available for virtual or hybrid teaching arrangements.Key responsibilities include delivering Specially Designed Instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs, implementing effective instructional strategies, and supporting students following alternative educational standards.
