This role is essential in ensuring patients receive timely care by accurately verifying insurance benefits and securing necessary authorizations.Compensation & Work EnvironmentCompetitive hourly pay starting at $21+, based on experience and qualificationsSupportive and team-oriented work environmentFlexible approach to benefits, allowing employees to choose plans that best fit their individual needsKey ResponsibilitiesVerify patient insurance benefits via online portals, phone, and EMR systemsObtain referrals from referring physician officesAccurately enter and maintain patient information in the EMRSecure prior authorizations for:Radiology studies (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound)Peripheral and cardiac proceduresVenous ablationsProvide patients with clear explanations of benefits and estimated costsMaintain detailed and accurate documentation of all communications and authorizationsCollaborate with clinical and administrative teams in a fast-paced environmentQualifications1–3 years of experience in insurance verification and prior authorizations (required)Strong understanding of HMO, PPO, and government insurance plansExcellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsReliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable with a professional demeanorKnowledge of medical terminology (cardiology and radiology preferred)Familiarity with ICD-10 coding (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EMR systems (EMDs experience a plus)EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Some college coursework (preferred)Why Join Us?This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected cardiology practice where your role directly contributes to patient care and operational success.
