Responsible for processing data and reports as required by the district and Texas Education Agency. Education/certification: High school graduate or equivalent. Special knowledge/skills: Broad knowledge of MS Word and basic knowledge of MS Excel. Ability to use personal computer and software. Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Initiative to work efficiently and independently without constant supervision. Experience: Previous secretarial experience preferred. Knowledge of SuccessEd and Skyward preferred.
Major duties and responsibilities: Clerical and program support: Provide technical support for gathering data from district information systems. Maintain backup documentation for data submissions. Provide assistance to diagnosticians, speech pathologists, LSSP's, instructional facilitators and teachers of special education students to enable them to correctly complete forms for accurate student information. Coordinate special education automated software systems with PEIMS data. Assist with registering private school students into the district. Records and reports: Maintain accurate student counts and data information for PEIMS. Compile specific reports regarding special education student data. Prepare and input federal and state reports to the Texas Education Agency. Enter all required student information to coordinate PEIMS data. Other: Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities: None. Equipment used: Computer and various office equipment. Working conditions: Mental demands: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public. Physical demands: Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of the computer. May require occasional extended hours.
