This role is essential to managing ecommerce liabilities, accounts receivable, and ensuring exceptional customer service across our digital commerce operations.As our Ecommerce Accounting Specialist, you'll manage the complete lifecycle of ecommerce financial transactions—from vendor payables and revenue share processing to customer account management and dispute resolution. You'll work cross-functionally with Treasury, Licensees, customers, credit card companies, and third-party financing partners to ensure accurate, timely financial operations.This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in both ecommerce accounting and customer service while contributing to month-end close processes and financial reporting.What You'll DoEcommerce Liabilities & Vendor ManagementRun daily Vendor Transaction reports for Product and Revenue Share payablesReconcile Daily Export Files to the AS400 systemProcess weekly Inter-Company invoice payment requests through TreasuryReview and resolve discrepancies in vendor transactionsRun, review, balance, and process Revenue Share Reports and payment requestsReconcile Ashcomm D365 liabilities to AS400 AP Payables for Revenue Share and Product InvoicesComplete month-end journal entries for Ashcomm LiabilitiesReconcile inter-company liability accounts monthlyLicensee Relations & SupportRespond to Licensee inquiries regarding Product and Revenue Share paymentsProvide supporting documentation as neededDocument issues with Product and Revenue Share reporting and escalate appropriatelyReview requests, clarify with Licensees, and route to appropriate departmentsAccounts Receivable ManagementValidate and research debit and credit balances with ability to correct as neededBalance customer payments dailyComplete month-end journal entries related to collected paymentsRun and balance Accounts Receivable transactionsContact customers when funding is denied to arrange paymentTurn accounts over to collection companies when necessaryReview written orders for invoice/delivery address discrepancies to prevent fraudCoordinate with bank for credit checks with issuing banksCustomer Service & Dispute ResolutionRespond to customer inquiries regarding orders, billing, and technical problemsHandle credit card disputes for retail and ecommerce customers per standard proceduresWork with credit card companies and third-party financing companies to resolve disputesManage collection process for past due accountsDocument system issues and escalate accordinglyMaintain prompt, efficient, and accurate data entryExhibit superior customer service in all interactionsTeam Collaboration & SupportAssist team members with customer issues and escalated callsSupport backup coverage as neededParticipate actively in departmental meetings, training, and educationAssist with training other employees when neededWhat You BringEducation & ExperienceAssociate Degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience) - Required3+ years of experience in accounting and customer service - RequiredCore Competencies & SkillsAccounting Knowledge:Strong knowledge of basic accounting principlesExperience with month-end close processes and journal entriesAccount reconciliation expertiseCredit card processing knowledgeTechnical Proficiency:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExperience with document management systemsComputer literacy and internet navigationAbility to learn AS400 and D365 systemsAnalytical & Problem-Solving:Strong attention to detailAnalytical thinking and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to identify and resolve discrepanciesHandle multiple projects simultaneously within time constraintsCommunication & Customer Service:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsProfessional communication with customers, vendors, and co-workersDisplay empathy, understanding, and patienceRespond professionally in difficult situationsPersonal Attributes:Maintain strict confidentialityEffective time management and organizational skillsWork independently and collaboratively in team environmentPerform under strong demands in fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologiesDemonstrate ethics, integrity, and trustSchedule Expectations:Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessaryStandard business hours with occasional overtime during month-end closeWhy Ashley?Join a company that lives its values every day.
