OverviewThe ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing payroll, HR, accounting, inventory, taxes, and financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:1. Payroll, HR, and BenefitsOnboard new hires including verifying forms, E-Verify, background checks, etc.Process payroll bi-weekly and handle adjustments, expense reimbursements, tip allocations, and pay taxes accurately.Maintain employee records, benefits administration (health, dental, AFLAC, HRA/Cobra), and payroll reporting (quarterly, annual).2. Accounting / GL / FinancialsReconcile accounts including tips, liabilities, and credit card transactions.Maintain accurate monthly, mid-year, and year-end financial statements.Manage fixed assets including capitalization and depreciation.Perform regular cash handling and bank reconciliations.Coordinate with external CPA and agencies as needed.3. Sales & Excise TaxVerify, prepare & file sales/excise tax reports and ensure compliance with rules/regulations.4. Inventory ManagementTrack monthly inventory depletionsPrepare year-end inventory reports including allocations for the new year.5. Accounts Receivable / CustomersPrepare Customer Invoices as needed.Process customer payments and track outstanding balances.6. Accounts Payable / VendorsPost invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.Process invoices timely and manage payment schedules.Use best payment methods to avoid unnecessary fees.Maintain accurate vendor records and ACH recipients.Manage W-9s, 1099s, and other related tax documentation.7. Licensing & Permits / ComplianceMaintain licenses, bonds, and other applicable permits.Ensure annual and quarterly reporting compliance with various agencies.8. InsuranceManage auto, liability, and general insurance policies.Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate renewals.9. IT & Systems CoordinationCommunicate with IT service providers for issues and updates.Manage software licensing and user accounts.10. Other ResponsibilitiesAssist management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.Qualifications:Required:Minimum 7–10 years experience in accounting, preferably in a winery, food, or beverage industry.Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Home Base or similar HR/payroll systems.Experience with payroll, HR compliance, and benefits administration.Strong understanding of inventory management and valuationStrong understanding of sales and excise tax reporting requirements.Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred:Experience with TTB reporting and AZ liquor/distilled spirits compliance.Knowledge of IT systemsBenefits:Cell phone reimbursementDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offEducation:Bachelor's (Required)Experience:QuickBooks: 7 years (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Cornville, AZ 86325 (Required)Work Location: In person
