Other objectives include:Operation - Oversee all functions of the spa's daily operationsLeadership - Lead/manage the spa team according to business standardsTeambuilding - Recruit, train and retain a professional spa teamPerformance - To achieve monthly performance targets for self and spa teamMarketing To market the spa's services and productsPosition Activities and Responsibilities:All to be performed according to the spa's training manuals and videos. Spa Manager is responsible to know all spa's manuals.Spa Team:Recruit, interview, hire, train, reward, and manage/lead team members using CLARITI hiring system and ICARE coaching modelsEnsure that team members are current with insurance and licensing requirementsBe a role model for the spa teamCommunicate the vision and missionActively plan host and conduct team meetingsImplement, practice, and enforce all policies and procedures according to spa manualsEnsure the team is following guest protocols and delivering the ultimate spa experienceResolve team member conflicts or grievances; act as liaison between team and spa directorResolve guest issuesMonitor and evaluate team targets and goalsConduct team performance evaluations and monthly one on one meetingsDetermine and publish team schedulesEnforce and monitor team image uniforms, makeup, hair, shoesAward and recognize the teamSpa:Delegate cleaning and organizing responsibilities and ensure they are followed through by conducting area/room auditsMonitor cleanliness of spa/salon and ensure all sanitation/sterilization tools are used and available, assist with all board inspectionsMaintain an inviting and guest friendly retail spa boutiqueMaintains beverage station and ensures adequate stock of needed suppliesAssists with laundry and spa cleaning when necessaryEnsure signature spa scent is present at all timesVerify all spa linen are appropriately cared forMonitor physical spa environment/working conditions: Spa, Spa office, Equipment/machinery used: Music system, phone, computer, copy machine, inventory tracking equipment, credit card machines etc.Inventory Management:Spa Manager is responsible to use purchase order and receiving system when placing ordersMonitor proper professional product usageAssure proper retail mixTrack retail inventory performance sellers & non-sellersMonitor professional product usageSpa Financials:Review overall spa and team performance reportsTrack budget vs. actualTrack Volume per Guest for service and retailCalculate payrollTrack business performance.
