This position is responsible to maintain high levels of product quality, cleanliness, productivity, and efficient use of New Freedom resources. Additionally, this position is responsible for preparing healthy salad bar options along with packed lunches for members on the go. This position is responsible for daily food rotation, labeling, as well as the cleanliness of the entire kitchen. Your Impact Will Include: Prepare and maintain Salad Bar offerings and other food items according to guidelines and standards set by the Executive Chef. Set up and break down food service areas for all mealtimes, ensuring consistency with established schedules and quality expectations. Maintain strict cleaning and sanitation practices throughout the dining hall and kitchen in alignment with New Freedom standards. Follow all County, State, and Federal health and safety regulations while upholding proper food handling procedures and equipment care. Assist with food preparation for daily service and catered events, adjusting production levels based on fluctuating client flow and operational demands. Organize, clean, and maintain kitchen workspaces, equipment, tools, and storage areas; label and store food according to established guidelines. Handle chemicals safely and appropriately in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and organizational protocols. Collaborate professionally and courteously with leadership, staff, and members to support smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission. Where You'll Work Primarily onsite Requires the ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 30 pounds Some days will require long periods of sitting, standing, or walking. HS Equivalency or better in General Studies or related field.
