Community Relations & Sales Manager

Summary: The Community Relations and Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive group and event business while strengthening community partnerships that support overall business operations and objectives. This role identifies growth opportunities and makes decisions regarding business development strategies, contract negotiations, and partnership initiatives. This position also partners with leadership to provide recommendations that influence revenue growth and operational success.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned:1. Responsible for establishing and evolving the property's group sales strategy.2. Develops and establishes processes, priorities, and strategies for group sales initiatives.3. Evaluate and qualify leads and prospects from inbound calls, website RFPs, internet leads, trade shows, and referrals, determining alignment with business objectives and prioritizing opportunities based on potential value.4. Develop and implement approaches to generate new leads and expand group and event business, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and market share.5. Represent the organization at local and regional events to build strategic relationships within the community and assess potential business opportunities. May require occasional travel.6. Establish and maintain close contact with top accounts and targets accounts, assessing their current and future needs, and determine strategies to support long-term business growth.7. Oversee and manage the sales process.8. Attend community meetings, trade shows, and other events and identify opportunities that support business development and community engagement.9. Plan and execute outreach strategies, including targeted cold calls to promote the property and support future occupancy and revenue goals.10. Conduct site inspections for prospective clients, positioning the property's offerings and aligning services with the client's needs.11. Develops future business opportunities by identifying and actively pursuing potential leads, preparing proposals, and leading contract negotiations to support organizational objectives.12. Provide recommendations to maximize hotel and banquet occupancy, particularly during slow periods.13. Oversee and manage contract execution, including payment and deposit requirements for group bookings.14. Evaluate and address guest and/or client needs and service concerns, determining appropriate solutions aligned with business objectives.15. Promotes property amenities and assists with casino events and promotions.16. Prepare and analyze weekly activity and performance reports, including booked events, outreach efforts, and business-to-business activity, using insights to adjust strategies and improve results while maintaining awareness of the competitive environment.17. Fully understand and have the ability to promote and explain the benefits of the property and the A-Play Club.18. Maintain and understand compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.19. Enforce all policies and procedures.20.
