Director of Sales - Hotel

Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead sales efforts at our Hotel, located near Beverly Hills. This role will focus on driving business travel, group, catering, and extended stay business, ensuring our hotel is the preferred choice for corporate clients and group guests. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, exhibit exceptional initiative, strong leadership ability, and a passion for achieving budget targets while delivering outstanding customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Plan Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans targeting business travelers and group guests, enhancing market share and revenue growth.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel managers, and local businesses to drive repeat bookings and referrals. Attend networking events and industry conferences to enhance visibility and brand recognition.Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative environment with the operations team that encourages cooperation, teamwork, and excellence in service.Revenue Management: Work closely with the corporate revenue management team to develop pricing strategies that maximize occupancy and revenue, with particular focus on business travel accounts.Sales Activities and Presentations: Conduct weekly outside sales calls and diligent proposal and lead follow-up. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing the unique features and benefits of the hotel.Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance and metrics and monthly production analyze results to refine strategies and improve effectiveness. Document sales activities and outcomes in Delphi.Customer Experience Focus: Ensure that the needs and preferences of business and group guests are prioritized, leading to high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.Market Analysis: Stay informed about competitor offerings and market dynamics. Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and potential clients in the business travel sector.QualificationsMinimum 3+ years of hotel sales experience, with prior Marriott sales background strongly preferred; emphasis on business travel and group sales.Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth and stealing market share.Exceptional communication, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills.Strong client management and service skills.Proficiency in Marriott systems including Stay PMS (Fosse), OneSource, Empower, MINT, MDash, Delphi, Agency360+, and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
