This includes but is not limited to processes for granting privileges, clinical competency assessments, peer reviews and due process for removal of clinical privileges.Provides clinical direction and overall supervision of care delivered by Unit's Interdisciplinary Team consistent with ACA, completion of physical/psychiatric evaluations, DX, and treatment. Minimum Qualifications Medical doctor with a Virginia licenseBoard eligible/certified in internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine or other similar medical/surgical specialtyGraduation from an accredited medical schoolConsiderable active medical treatment and management experienceStrong diagnostic and treatment planning skillsStrong management and supervisory skillsStrong interpersonal skills and communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively with the nursing department and the allied health professionals in partnership with the Healthcare AdministratorPossess a Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is required upon hire Additional Considerations Experience working in a correctional medical setting Special Instructions You will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or résumé is submitted successfully.
