Overview
Extended Stay Properties is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Southern Springs Extended Stay located in Lubbock, TX. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and overall experience of our extended stay hotel. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will ensure our guests have a welcoming and enjoyable stay.
Responsibilities
Room Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including changing bed linens, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchenettes.
Common Areas: Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, and public restrooms.
Laundry: Manage and process laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linens and towels.
Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and report when inventory needs replenishment. Restock guest room amenities as needed.
Guest Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests, addressing their needs and requests promptly.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all cleaning practices comply with safety and health regulations, including proper handling and storage of chemicals.
Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or necessary repairs to the property manager or maintenance staff.
Collaboration: Work closely with the property manager and maintenance staff to ensure a seamless operation and a high level of guest satisfaction.
Flexibility: Be prepared to assist with other tasks as needed, including helping with special projects or deep cleaning efforts.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Skills: Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and supplies. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality.
Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in housekeeping for extended stay properties.
Certification in hospitality or housekeeping management.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Your primary work schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours. However, flexibility is required as occasional weekend or holiday shifts may be necessary.

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
