Transportation Coordinator
Transportation CoordinatorThe Transportation Coordinator works to optimize the transportation and suppliers network for their organization. Their main objective is to ensure that all incoming and outgoing deliveries are made on time.
Essential FunctionsKnow all government rules and regulations regarding the transportation of goods and materials
Maintain delivery schedules
Tracking deliveries, as well as provide tracking information to customers and internal departments as needed.
Report any issues or delays in product shipment
Research and negotiate delivery costs to develop more cost-effective shipping methods
Handle customer complaints regarding late or damaged shipments
Package and secure all products for shipping
Contact shipping carriers to arrange pickup times
Communicate delivery schedules to customers and internal contacts
Monitor shipments to ensure that deliveries are made safely and in a timely manner
QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in shipping and receiving is preferred
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Typical Physical ActivityStand and walk for long periods of time
Lift up to 50 pounds
