The company has thrived as a family business through four generations and has grown to be a market leader and best in class innovator.Position SummaryOur Millwright II is responsible for the independent installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment to support efficient operations and minimize downtime. This role applies advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge to diagnose equipment failures, identify corrective actions, and execute repairs that restore and improve functionality. The position interprets complex blueprints and schematics, develops and documents procedures for new jobs and rebuilds, and collaborates with engineering, operations support, and product development to ensure optimal equipment performance. In addition to working independently and as part of a team, Millwright II trains and mentors other Millwright's and may serve as a lead or point of contact on projects. This role also supports investigative efforts related to safety and equipment performance, utilizes maintenance systems to manage work orders and parts, and contributes to safety, culture, and continuous improvement initiatives across the department and company.ScheduleSunday - Thursday7:00pm - 5:00amResponsibilitiesInstall machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, and interpret complex schematics to determine work processDiagnose equipment failures, identify corrective actions, and execute repairs to restore and improve functionalityPerform advanced mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting on production equipmentCollaboration with engineering, operations support, and product development to ensure machinery and equipment are working properlyDevelop and document procedures on new jobs, rebuilds, and maintenance practices for filing in permanent recordTrain and mentor Millwright I employees and support onboarding and development of new team membersMay be asked to act as a stand-in lead on specific jobs and projects and serve as point of contact for maintenance and operational leadership for project recaps, continuation, or handoffsMay be asked to support investigative efforts related to safety, equipment damage, or machinery downtime and assist in identifying corrective actionsUtilize maintenance systems to enter work orders, track repairs, and look up and order spare partsEnsure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving effortsSupport the development of safety, culture, and best practice initiatives within the department and companyQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDWillingness to travel up to 30%Valid chauffeur's license and DOT medical cardStrong communication and leadership skills3+ years of machine repair experience with proven performanceAbility to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and basic control systemsProven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issuesExperience with fabrication and field fitting of componentsProficiency in welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, ARC, air arcing)Ability to interpret engineered drawings and develop maintenance procedures and documentationExperience with maintenance planning or work order systemsSafety certifications including LOTO and hot work authorization (PAI), with experience in incident and hazard reportingAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor, industrial, and elevated environmentsStrong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and machine rebuildingPADNOS has a rich history of taking care of our Team Members, their families and the multiple communities we serve.
