This role provides steady, predictable hours across the year while offering flexibility, work-life balance, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a specialized Radiation Oncology setting.POSITION HIGHLIGHT - ROLE: Radiation Oncologist (Board Certified) - LOCATION: San Juan, Puerto Rico - SCHEDULE: 10 hours/ week on-call rotation - SETTING: On-site Radiation Oncology departmentKEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide as-needed clinical coverage to maintain uninterrupted Radiation Oncology services. - Conduct new patient evaluations, consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up care. - Review and prescribe treatment plans, ensuring accuracy and patient safety throughout therapy. - Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation for urgent clinical needs. - Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance and safety standards for radiotherapy delivery. - Ensure compliance with nationally recognized standards, including: - American College of Radiology (ACR) -American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) - American Association for Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. - Support accreditation and quality initiatives within the radiation oncology service line.QUALIFICATIONS - MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license - Board Certification in Radiation Oncology (required) - Strong competency in clinical radiation oncology workflow and best practices - Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills - Committed to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered cancer careWHAT WE OFFER - Competitive part-time compensation beginning at $180/hour, with room for negotiation - Flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance - Housing stipend options available, subject to negotiation - Travel or mileage reimbursement provided when applicable - Comprehensive credentialing and onboarding support tailored to your needs - Potential for multi-year contract renewal to ensure continuity and stabilityWHY JOIN US?At Vigilant Healthcare Solutions, we empower physicians with the support, autonomy, and flexibility they need to thrive.
