Data Scientist - TS/SCI
Overview
In this Data Scientist role, you will build and optimize a data science platform to support mission-focused big data analytics in national security contexts. You collaborate with cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and analysts to turn open-ended problems into actionable insights. You’ll expand predictive algorithms, deliver results to non-technical stakeholders, and help publish findings. The role offers meaningful impact through advanced ML/NLP and data fusion in government programs.
Responsibilitiesdesign, build, and optimize a Data Science platform for analysis and dissemination of resultswork on big data projects across national security, cyber security, BI, social media, and human behaviorsupport multiple projects and communicate findings to non-technical audiencesidentify novel data sources and improve predictive algorithm performanceleverage research design, exploratory analysis, quantitative methods, and UI design to support analyticsengage in customer outreach and effectively deploy analytical platforms with a cross-functional team
Key requirementsB.S. degree in a quantitative/analytical field with 2+ years of experience or Master’s degree with less than 2 years of experienceActive TS clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraphexperience in data science, analytics, or quantitative intelligence analysisproficiency in Pythonexperience deploying data science apps using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShiftexperience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch/Kibana) and SQLexperience working with hybrid teams to develop and deploy algorithms and platformsexperience in data science or research with big data (out-of-core)active learning and creative problem solvingability to assess software/data requirements for cost-effective solutionsfamiliarity with git or other version control toolscustomer focuscollaborationproblem solvingPythonDockerKubernetes
