Job Description: Mitigation Technician (Restoration Technician)DepartmentMitigation / OperationsReports ToMitigation Manager / Project Manager / Operations ManagerPosition SummaryThe Mitigation Technician is responsible for performing emergency restoration services related to water, fire, mold, and biohazard losses. This role involves responding to residential and commercial properties, assessing damage, implementing drying and remediation plans, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction while following company procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRespond to emergency calls for water, fire, mold, and related losses• Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and debris removal• Set, monitor, and adjust drying equipment• Conduct moisture checks using meters and thermal imaging• Assist with mold remediation containment and removal• Document job progress with photos, notes, and daily logs• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites• Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders• Maintain mitigation equipment and company vehicles• Follow OSHA, IICRC, and company safety standardsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED• Valid driver's license• Ability to lift 50+ pounds• Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call rotationsPreferred QualificationsIICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT)• Previous restoration or construction experienceSkills & CompetenciesStrong work ethic• Attention to detail• Team-oriented mindset• Professional communicationPhysical RequirementsFrequent lifting, bending, standing• Ability to wear PPE for extended periodsEqual Employment Opportunity
