Sr.System Engineer

Role and Responsibilities : 4+ years of experience in maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting Cisco ASA firewalls Exposure to VPN technologies , encryption and authorization Experience working with international security environments 2+ years experience working with Cisco,HP procurve switches Strong knowledge of Natting, filtering, access control technologies particularly on Cisco ASA firewall A team leader mentoring level 1 resources Strong communication and inter personal skills Strong documentation skills Exposure to other security technology areas like IDS/IPS, Proxy. Willingness to work in any shift Designs and develops integrated solutions through tools, processes, and procedures to facilitate the cost effective delivery of engineering services. Provides planning, analysis, and development of system upgrades and user interface design solutions to complex human factor problems. Develops validation schemes and performs testing and integration and maintenance. Escalates problem resolution of computer environments, systems, subsystems, and components. Monitors, investigates, and resolves system operation issues in accordance with standard procedures; documents and communicates resolution. Tracks industry trends and technical developments. Analyzes potential system investments and prepares supporting documentation for recommendation( s) to management and customers. Bases results on independent assessment of current and future performance, stability, and systems management/life cycle issues. Assists in development of system engineering solutions. Evaluates/recommends Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tools for suitability/applicability/integration. People:Provides technical support and consultation on proposed and current systems. Writes engineering product specifications, coordinates with design groups to ensure correct implementation, and develops test plans for field validation by customers. Willingness to learn new technologies Exposure to enterprise ticketing system Exposure to risk assessment, vulnerability assessment and penetration tests Experience working on security standards like ISO 27K and PCI Qualification : Any graduate with at least 5+Yrs of relevant work experience can be considered. Certifications would be an added advantage. Knows computer hardware, operating system software, and desktop applications to generate functional requirements.
