Position Details:The hiring range for this role is typically between $32.50 and $40.00, with the full range extending to $47.50, based on experience, internal equity, and career progressionThis position will be In-OfficePrimary Function:The Buyer II is responsible for purchasing parts for projects based on Bill of Materials (BOMs) which include proper documentation of transactions and vendor relations. Also responsible for purchasing other company supplies.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:Purchase parts for projects in accordance with Bill of Materials independentlyManage vendor relationships including qualification, development and performance evaluationKeep up to date contract agreements with vendorsMaintain spreadsheets associated with purchasing parts and suppliesConduct reviews of Bill of Materials for quotes; update Bill of Materials as neededDevelop monthly department budget reportsAssist with administrative tasks including answering phones, setting up desks for new employees, preparing conference rooms for meetings, and other miscellaneous activities to support the teamPurchases for new hires, including apparel, ordering of desk nameplates, and any furniture, equipment they may need to get their work donePurchase stationary office supplies and kitchen suppliesSchedule couriers as neededNegotiate pricing and terms with established vendorsIdentify cost savings opportunities and process improvementsFollow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences. Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)High School or GED Diploma required; Associates Degree in Business/Management or related field preferredExperience purchasing supplies and parts in a manufacturing environment requiredERP experience a plusDemonstrated ability to take initiative and work independentlyStrong written and verbal English language communication skillsStrong attention to detailStrong organizational and multitasking skills a mustExcellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyAdvanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesPass a post-offer background verificationWork Environment:Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
