Assembler II
Job Summary The Assembler II performs repetitive mechanical assembly tasks requiring precision, dexterity, and attention to detail to maintain pace and product quality. This role involves assembling and testing mechanical or electrical components, following clear instructions, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Assembler II contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports customer satisfaction through reliable production. Core Responsibilities Foll ow all workplace safety and product quality policies and guidelines Complete site-specific training related to safety and quality Receive components for assembly and/or testing in programmed sequence Assemble and/or test mechanical or electrical components using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures Perform minor variations of in-house standard products as required Follow clear assembly/test instructions (e.g., color coding, PVC thermal welding, thread taping) Enter work hours in ERP system (SAP) as applicable Complete required production documentation accurately Drive continuous improvement and conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits Read and interpret simple layout and assembly drawings Maintain equipment and work area in clean, safe condition Support internal and external customer needs and expectations Position Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience 3– 5 years of assembly experience Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience, technical coursework, or relate d activities Knowledge & Skills A bility to follow assembly instructions and interpret drawings Mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination Basic ERP system familiarity (SAP preferred) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Team-oriented with ability to work independen tly Physical Requirements A bility to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis Frequent walking, writing, and typing Lift and carry up to 30 pounds; occasional heavy lifting with assistance Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach, push, and pull occasionally Work indoors and outdoors as needed, with exposure to heat (up to 120°F), cold (down to 0°F), dust, dirt, and noise (hearing protection may be required) Operate a computer and communicate via telephone Education: High School
