Be a part of the best tree care service company in New England! Tree Tech Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Tree Foreman. A tree foreman is a professional who manages a team responsible for maintaining and caring for trees. They operate heavy equipment such as Digger Derricks, Boom Trucks, woodchippers, chain saws, stump grinders, and log loaders. They utilize climbing equipment, extended truck booms, chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers to perform tasks in elevated areas. A tree foreman is also responsible for managing crew members, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining equipment. They have skills in pruning, tree removal, and often hold licenses as standard Arborists and Commercial applicators. The ideal candidate will have about 3 years of experience in a leadership role on a production tree crew. Responsibilities: Ability to lead and manage a team of employees. Ability to understand and communicate technical information to customers, employees, and the public. Ability to comply with regulatory agencies such as DOT and OSHA. Ability to work overtime as needed and meet deadlines. CDL driver's license a plus. Valid driver's license a must. Ability to operate tree related equipment such as loaders, buckets, and stump grinders. Ability to be on call for emergency storm work. Ability to follow and enforce safe working practices. Ability to keep a positive and motivating mindset. Requirements: Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, may include weekends and holidays. Must be able to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Highly motivated, self-driven, and detailed oriented. Must be professional in appearance and actions. Maintain good attendance record as well as good punctuality. Understands and adheres to company and safety policies, proper lifting techniques, and general wellness. Possess the necessary rigging and lowering skills to perform tree pruning and removals safely. Must be able to recognize and report deficiencies in trees and equipment. Must pass a criminal background check. If driving for the company, must have and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license as well as a clear driving record. Understands or willing to learn and operate large equipment such as but not limited to chippers, trucks, stump grinders, etc.
