We are building a high-performing team.What You'll DoDaily Leadership Responsibilities:Lead structured games, themed activities, outdoor play, and enrichment projectsHelp implement weekly camp themes and engaging group challengesSupervise children during transitions, meals, outings, and quite periodsMaintain strong safety practices and accountability standardsModel positive social interaction and respectful communicationAssist with setup, cleanup, and maintaining organized spacesCommunicate professionally with parents during drop-off and pickupMaintain compliance with New Mexico childcare licensing and safety standardsSupport life-skills-based activities (teamwork, responsibility, leadership)Additional Responsibilities (As Needed) Drive center vans for field trips (non-CDL)QualificationsRequired:High School Diploma or GED; degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferredExperience working with children (camp, after-school, childcare, church, coaching, etc.)Ability to lead groups confidently and maintain safety standardsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periodsAbility to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced classroom environmentValid driver's license (for driving roles)CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)Ability to pass all state-required background checksPreferred Previous summer camp leadership experienceExperience leading older elementary or pre-teen groupsInterest in education, youth development, recreation, or leadershipWhat We OfferCompetitive seasonal pay: $19–$22/hour (based on education, experience and qualifications) Professional leadership development Structured training before camp begins Supportive team environment Potential pathway into long-term roles at East Gate Kids Joy-filled, high-energy days where your work makes visible impactScheduleSeasonal (May –August 1) Monday – Friday Full-Day Schedule (9:00am to 6:00pm ) Occasional training or special event daysWhy Join UsWe are building a team of teachers who care deeply about children, excellence, and growth.When camp leaders thrive, children thrive.
