Quality Inspector II (1st Shift)

Quality Inspector IIThe Quality Inspector II plays a critical role in ensuring product quality through in-process and final inspections. This individual brings strong technical expertise, works independently, and supports continuous improvement by mentoring team members and maintaining rigorous quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform in-process and final inspections with minimal supervisionComplete First Article Inspections (FAI) and customer certification requirementsInspect incoming parts from outside processes for complianceInterpret blueprints and GD&T to validate product conformanceSupport production teams in adhering to ISO9001/AS9100 processesMentor and guide less experienced inspectorsParticipate in audits, compliance initiatives, and quality projectsMaintain accurate inspection records and documentationRequirements (Preferred too):5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with hand tools, CMM, and inspection equipmentStrong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and blueprint readingFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems (Mie Trak preferred) and SolidWorksExperience in aerospace, automotive, or defense industries preferredWorking knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and/or ISO13485 standardsGD&T certification preferredWhat Prototek Offers:Health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability insuranceCompany paid life and long-term disability insurance9 paid Holidays annuallyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) match: 100% of 3% and 50% for 4% and 5%Education reimbursement programCareer advancement opportunitiesFlexible ScheduleCompetitive pay scalePaid time off (PTO) starting at 80 hours with annual increase for each year of serviceWork Authorization Wording: Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements Prototek maintains International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant operations in United States based facilities.
