Position Overview We seek a client‑focused Associate Underwriter/Account Executive with experience in the Property & Casualty insurance brokerage industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high‑volume environment, providing superior underwriting and account support while meeting company goals with integrity and respect. Key Responsibilities Assist brokers and underwriters with new business and renewals, ensuring a smooth process. Underwrite and quote a designated renewal book of business, adhering to assigned premium thresholds. Review and collect complete underwriting information from agents, including applications, loss histories, and submissions. Develop strong working relationships with insurance carriers and agents to enhance collaboration. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, markets, and underwriting practices. Handle day‑to‑day account service activities, including inquiries, endorsements, and issue resolution in a timely manner. Collaborate with the Service Team on quote processing, delivery, binding follow‑ups, inspections, and policy issuance. Participate in client retention efforts, providing mentorship and account backup as needed. Accurately perform tasks in the agency management system, upholding standards of product excellence. Undertake additional assignments to support team objectives. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance brokerage or agency. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey professionalism. Detail‑oriented with critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Highly organized, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously. Positive attitude and ability to engage constructively with varied office personalities. Adaptable to changes in processes and procedures. Above‑average computer skills with familiarity in relevant software. Team player who values collaboration and constructive feedback. Active Property and Casualty Producer License. Willingness to work regular core hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Why Join WestPac?
