The Cook will prepare, cook, and present menu items according to Sodexo Live! standards and recipes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and breaking down cooking stations, handling food safely, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area. The Cook will follow production schedules, assist with inventory and stocking, and support event-based food service, including banquets, concessions, and catered functions. The role also involves collaborating closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams, following all safety and sanitation procedures, and adapting to varying business volumes during events.Qualifications Professional cooking experience in a high-volume, restaurant, hotel, catering, or event environment.Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, recipe execution, portion control, and food presentation.Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper use of kitchen equipment.Ability to work efficiently under pressure, multitask, and meet time-sensitive production deadlines.Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive, guest-focused attitude.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules as needed.Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Culinary training, certification, or relevant education is preferred but not required.
