Location: Remote / Hybrid (Georgia-based preferred)Term: May–August 2026 (flexible start date)Time Commitment: 8 -10 hours per weekCompensation: Eligible for College CreditAbout The 2030 ProjectThe 2030 Project is a youth-led Political Action Committee focused on flipping the Georgia State House before the 2031 redistricting cycle. We have 5 “Battleground” Target State House Districts for the 2026 cycle, and we can flip them all – with your help! Our team includes alumni of the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs, students from UGA, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Duke University, and Georgia State University, as well as several high school students.Since launching, more than 50 students have interned or volunteered with The 2030 Project, many for academic credit. Our alumni network now includes leaders across government, media, and federal campaigns, including:Eric Gisler, now serving in the Georgia State LegislatureThe Ossoff FellowshipAndy Kim For SenateThe Associated PressU.S. Department of EnergyInternship OverviewThis internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of politics, technology, and communications. Interns will work in a collaborative, student-driven environment alongside political strategists and tech mentors while contributing to real-world organizing efforts in battleground State House districts. Interns will also have opportunities to engage directly with Georgia State House candidates, campaign organizers, and political leaders involved in our battleground districts.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & App DevelopmentContribute to development of The 2030 Project Battleground App (built using no-code tools such as FlutterFlow)Assist with UX testing, feature planning, and organizing-focused tool developmentSupport data integration and user engagement strategyCommunications & Social MediaDevelop graphics, short-form video, newsletters, and digital contentExpand and analyze social media engagementCollaborate with on-camera storytelling, scriptwriting, and narrative-driven video content (ideal for students in drama, film, or performing arts)Newsletter & Written ContentResearch and analyze news sources and policy for our weekly newsletterWrite engaging short-form articles to inform and inspire Georgians about politics with a focus on the GA legislatureOrganizing & Youth EngagementBrainstorm and implement strategies to increase youth participationSupport voter outreach and community-building initiatives in target districtsIdeal CandidatesWe are seeking a diverse cohort of passionate interns interested in Political Science, Computer Science, Business, and related fields.
