The Lead Analyst owns executive-level performance reviews, builds and pressure-tests financial models that shape forecasting and compensation strategy, and leads data-driven problem solving with sales leaders to improve campaign profitability.Success in this role requires strong business judgement, executive presence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to influence decisions through clear, defensible analysis.The BasicsLocation: HQ Office - Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite)Compensation: $130,000-$160,000/year, commensurate with experience + bonus potentialTravel: Up to 5%Reports To: Senior Director, AnalyticsWhat You'll DoServe as the primary contact for assigned accounts/campaigns, delivering sales analysis, financial reporting, and performance diagnostics to identify growth opportunities and improve profitabilityInterface directly with independent sales representatives to analyze performance, optimize compensation structures, and identify strategies to maximize their earnings and business growthBuild and maintain financial models, including pro forma P&Ls, incentive structures, and scenario analyses to support forecasting and strategic planningConduct deep-dive sales and financial analysis to uncover trends, assess risks, and guide commercial strategyDevelop and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and Excel to visualize KPIs and support real-time decision-makingValidate and manage large, complex datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting deliverablesPresent insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams in a clear, actionable formatLead and collaborate on continuous improvement and process optimization effortsProvide ad hoc analysis and support special projects as needed, contributing to broader FP&A initiativesContribute to additional projects or responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectivesWhat You'll Bring4–6 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, FP&A or a related fieldExperience working with or supporting sales teams, franchise models, or distributed business unitsAdvanced proficiency in Tableau (including calculated fields and LOD expressions) and ExcelStrong analytical skills with experience validating, troubleshooting, and interpreting large, complex datasetsSkilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and operational analysis to support decision-makingConfident communicator, with experience presenting to executive and C-suite audiencesDemonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and deliver under tight deadlinesExperience in process optimization, and continuous improvementComfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex environmentsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related fieldSmart Circle InternationalSmart Circle International is a leading broker of outsourced sales and customer acquisition services.
