Janitor and Cleaner

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring that spaces are safe and hygienic for all occupants. Duties - Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming - Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies - Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas - Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies, and stairways - Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing - Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor plumbing issues Experience - Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles preferred - Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and procedures - Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing - Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus - Ability to work independently and efficiently - Experience with industrial cleaning tasks is beneficial Required Drug test, Background Hours : 6:00-8:30 PM pays $11.00-12.50 Qualifications - Janitorial experience in commercial and industrial settings - Proficiency in floor care, including buffing and maintenance - Knowledge of custodial duties and facilities maintenance - Experience in industrial cleaning and plumbing tasks - Ability to work effectively in a team and independently - Strong attention to detail and time management skills Job Type: Part-time Pay: $11.82 - $12.50 per hour Expected hours: 20 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Physical Setting: Private school Schedule: Monday to Friday Night shift On call Rotating shift Split shift Weekends as needed Experience: Janitorial experience: 1 year (Required) Time management: 1 year (Required) Shift availability: Night Shift (Required) Ability to Relocate: Columbia, SC 29229: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
