Head of Finance and Accounting for Investment Firm

DescriptionReach out to Jennifer Fukumae on LinkedIn for quickest consideration.A growing private equity real estate investment firm is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance & Accounting to lead the firm's financial operations, reporting infrastructure, and fund accounting function.This leadership role will oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, compliance, investor reporting, and operational finance across multiple real estate funds and affiliated entities. The position offers high visibility with ownership and broad exposure across fund operations, corporate finance, and investment activity.Responsibilities+ Lead accounting and financial operations for multiple private equity real estate funds and the management company+ Oversee fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and investor allocations+ Manage quarterly and annual investor reporting+ Coordinate audits, tax processes, and external service providers+ Oversee treasury management, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and compliance+ Build and improve scalable processes, workflows, and internal controls+ Partner with investment and asset management teams on acquisitions, refinancing, and strategic initiatives+ Manage and mentor a small accounting team while remaining highly hands-onRequirements+ 10+ years of accounting and finance experience within private equity real estate, real estate investment management, or alternative asset management+ Strong knowledge of partnership accounting, fund structures, waterfalls, and investor reporting+ Experience managing audits, tax processes, and fund operations+ Proven leadership experience within lean, fast-paced environments+ CPA strongly preferred+ Advanced Excel skills and experience with systems such as Yardi, Juniper Square, Investran, or similar platformsIdeal Profile+ Entrepreneurial and solutions-oriented+ Comfortable building and refining processes+ Able to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day execution+ Strong communication skills with the ability to interface directly with executives, investors, lenders, and external partnersThis is an opportunity to join an expanding investment platform in a highly visible leadership role with long-term growth potential.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
