USC and GC only Cross River Bank Our Fintech client is seeking a strong, backend-focused MERN Engineer with deep experience in Node.js. This role is heavily emphasizing APIs, serverless architecture, and cloud-native services.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs supporting high-volume client integrations.Develop backend services using Node.js and Python, with a strong focus on performance, security, and reliability.Build and support AWS serverless solutions, including:Lambda functionsStep Functions for workflow orchestration and service coordinationContribute to a platform that enables self-service API access for hundreds of external consumers.Work independently to deliver features end-to-end in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.Collaborate across teams and participate in cross-training initiatives to broaden technical expertise.Support and contribute to Generative AI initiatives, tools, or integrations as part of ongoing platform evolution.Qualifications:7+ years of backend development experience, Node.js development, including strong experience in MongoDB.Expertise in API developmentKnowledge of Python, and strong object-oriented designSQL and NoSQL data storesHands-on experience with the MERN stack, with a clear preference for backend-heavy development.Solid hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures.Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver consistently in a high-velocity environment.Strong communication skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
