Senior Product Designer
OverviewSection is an AI transformation company that helps organizations get real value from generative AI. AI-powered workforces will have a sustained competitive advantage over the next decade, but most of the workforce is unprepared. We help organizations plan their AI transformation, upskill their workforce, and integrate AI into their workflows and business processes – all with the goal of driving real productivity gains and ROI. Our goal is to bring a million workers into the "AI class" by 2026.As part of our growth, we're looking for our first dedicated product design hire. You'll own design end-to-end for Section's AI enablement command center platform, reporting to the Head of Product and partnering directly with our product managers and engineers. There's no existing design system, no established patterns — you're building the foundation. Candidates must be U.S.-based.What You'll DoYour ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end UI/UX for Section's platform (web and mobile apps) across both employee and executive experiencesConduct user research and usability testing; synthesize insights into clear design strategy and prioritiesTranslate jobs-to-be-done into journeys, flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for web and eventually mobileDesign AI-first interactions, including but not limited to conversational UIs, chat interfaces, assistants, recommendations, and smart notificationsDesign new user experiences for Heads of AI to get intelligence and insights from our platform (AI-powered insights, not traditional dashboards)Create engaging, habit-forming experiences with thoughtful gamification, progress tracking, and behavioural nudgesRaise the visual bar with clean, modern UI, strong typography, and clear information hierarchyUse AI-native design and prototyping tools (e.g., v0, Figma AI) to explore and validate concepts quicklyBuild and maintain a scalable design system that supports fast iteration across employee, buyer, and integration surfacesPartner closely with PM and engineering to scope, ship, and iterate on features that drive measurable engagementMust-haves8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years designing consumer-grade enterprise SaaS applicationsProven track record of designing user applications that drive high user engagement (MAU, retention, completion rates)Strong proficiency with AI-powered design tools (Figma with AI plugins, V0, Galileo AI, or similar) and willingness to prototype rapidly using these toolsStrong understanding of behavioral design, gamification principles, and habit-forming product patternsExperience designing data visualization and analytics interfaces that go beyond traditional dashboardsPortfolio demonstrating both B2C engagement-focused designs AND B2B data/analytics interfacesExperience working in fast-paced startup environments with small but high-powered product and engineering teamsAI-first mindset: We are hiring AI-first candidates that have or will reinvent their role and tasks with AI for greater efficiency and qualityBonusBackground in designing AI/ML-powered products or conversational interfacesExperience designing for large organizations (1000+ user deployments)Special RequirementsAvailable for occasional travel to team offsites (2-4X per year)Compensation$170K-190K depending on qualifications and experience.
