Teardown Technician

POSITION SUMMARY : 1 st Tier Mechanical incline role that tears down and cleans up hydraulic pumps, motors, and components. Operates in a lean manufacturing environment, follow standard operating policies and procedures recommended for improvements in the production flow, equipment, and working conditions. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to disassemble units Identify obvious scrap Enter quantities into the excel sheet Wash parts Sand blast parts Blacken Parts Laser Clean Parts Wire Wheel Parts Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATUONS : High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Attention to detail.
