Title: Powertrain Engineer Location: Georgetown, KYDuration: 12 Months Contract with Possible extensionAll PPE will be provided or expenses to client per standard PPE allocations except Steel Toed Boots and Prescription glasses.OT: 15% (Ability to work weekends, holidays, shut downs.)·The primary responsibility of this role is Digital Engineering (DE) support of Powertrain Unit projects. There will be a strong focus on production preparation elements for Internal Combustion Engines, Hybrid Transmissions, Axles and other potential Powertrain components.Must Haves:§ Experience in project management responsibility (planning & time management, coordination, reporting)§ Experience in creating / interpreting product drawings / models, process drawings / models, equipment drawings / models§ Intermediate to advanced capability in CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault, Revit, ReCap)§ B.S. in Engineering preferred but also consider Technical Degree in CAE OR 3 + years’ experience in CAE.§ Expert in Autodesk applications, in particular AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor Professional, Vault / Vault Data Structure, Revit, ReCap, NavisworksINTERVIEW PROCESS-1st Round: MS Teams -30 Minutes2nd Round – OnsiteTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:What percentage or how often? Travel could be almost immediateReminder if travel is more than 3 months at a time Dispatch can be used, all other travel should follow theCW Travel Expense Policy – N/AWhat you’ll be doingThe primary responsibility of this role is Digital Engineering (DE) support of Powertrain Unit projects. There will be a strong focus on production preparation elements for Internal Combustion Engines, Hybrid Transmissions, Axles and other potential Powertrain components.Some examples of these preparation items will include:·Product operation drawing creation and revisions in AutoCAD working directly with our Production Engineering team·Production line layout creation and maintenance in AutoCAD working directly with Production and Production Engineering Groups, including generation of detailed equipment and utility installation drawing.·Product 3D model comparisons and overlays in Autodesk Inventor, Catia, or other 3D software·3D rendering and evaluation of building and equipment models for project studies using Navisworks, Revit and potentially other software packages·Production line simulations to confirm line capacity and identify areas for process improvements·Point cloud scan data collection and evaluation to support project studies·Investigation in to new tools to improve current Production Engineering job accuracy and efficiencyThis DE job is focused on improving the completeness and quality of process & equipment planning job activity to achieve reduction in manufacturing cost and production preparation lead-time. This role will support the organization with DE efforts in optimizing & advancing activity from concept/feasibility planning study through manufacturing site activity for process & equipment validation.Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Unit Project Planning group, the person in this role will support the Production Engineering-Powertrain department's objective to drive innovation in PE to yield best product, value, and experience to all customers.Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills Experience in project management responsibility (planning & time management, coordination, reporting)Experience in creating / interpreting product drawings / models, process drawings / models, equipment drawings / modelsIntermediate to advanced capability in CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault, Revit, ReCap)Intermediate capability in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)Strong Communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)B.S. in Engineering preferred but also consider Technical Degree in CAE OR 3 + years’ experience in CAE.Expert in Autodesk applications, in particular AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor Professional, Vault / Vault Data Structure, Revit, ReCap, NavisworksCreo experience plus point cloud data utilization is a bonus. (Nice to have)Need recent experience in 2D and 3D toolsCandidate may be asked to complete one on-site skill test once the phone interview is cleared.Added bonus if you have (Preferred):Experience in automotive manufacturing, specifically powertrain assembly and machining.Experience in high volume, automated production.Experience in manufacturing equipment and process specification.
