Network & Systems Security AnalystLocation: Onsite – Lutz, FL (33549)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (hours may vary based on workload and tasks)Duration: 6-month contract (potential for extension or conversion)Our client is seeking a Network & Systems Security Analyst to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure enterprise infrastructure across network, server, and storage environments.This role is ideal for a well-rounded IT professional with experience across networking, virtualization, and security, who can support day-to-day operations while contributing to infrastructure improvements and security initiatives.Primary ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Engineering & SupportDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across network, server, and storage environmentsInstall, configure, and support hardware and software including Windows Servers, VMware, and network devicesSupport Storage Area Networks (SAN) and virtualization platformsPerform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle managementAssist with infrastructure planning based on capacity and project requirementsNetwork & Systems OperationsMonitor and maintain performance of network and server environmentsTroubleshoot issues using structured methodologies (OSI model)Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issuesEscalate complex issues and coordinate with vendors for resolutionProvide Level 2 technical support across infrastructure systemsSecurity & ComplianceEnsure infrastructure aligns with IT security policies and best practicesSupport and maintain firewalls and network security controlsProvide security support across operating systems and network devicesAssist with vulnerability remediation and secure configuration managementSupport authentication systems and access controlsDisaster Recovery & ContinuityParticipate in the planning, testing, and maintenance of disaster recovery (DR) plansSupport system backups, failover processes, and recovery testingProject Support & CollaborationContribute to infrastructure-related projects including upgrades and deploymentsAssist with design and planning for small to mid-sized initiativesCollaborate with internal IT teams and external vendorsDocument configurations, processes, and system changesProvide technical input and guidance on infrastructure design decisions as neededDay-to-Day ActivitiesTroubleshooting network and server issuesSupporting VMware and Windows server environmentsMaintaining firewall configurations and network security controlsInstalling and configuring infrastructure hardware/softwareSupporting SAN and storage environmentsAssisting with system monitoring and performance tuningParticipating in infrastructure upgrades and DR testingRequired Experience5–7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network, or systems administrationHands-on experience with:Windows Server environmentsVMware virtualizationCisco networking (routing & switching)Firewall support and network securityStorage Area Networks (SAN)Strong troubleshooting skills across network and systems environmentsMust be able to pass a NERC-required background screening for access to critical infrastructure systemsPreferred ExperienceExperience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCPExposure to cybersecurity best practices and frameworksExperience supporting enterprise-level infrastructure environmentsPrior experience in regulated industries (utilities, healthcare, finance, etc.)Certifications (Preferred)CCNA / CCNPMCSA / MCSEVMware Certified Professional (VCP)CISSP or CEHKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, TCP/IP)Experience supporting virtualized and on-prem infrastructureAbility to troubleshoot across network, server, and storage layersUnderstanding of IT security principles and best practicesStrong communication and collaboration skillsNice-to-Have (Level 2 / Senior Candidates)Experience leading small projects or initiativesAbility to mentor junior team membersExperience contributing to infrastructure design and planningMay serve as technical lead on small projects and provide technical direction to junior team members
