Engineering Supervisor

Engineering SupervisorAs the Engineering Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel premises. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.What you'll be doing:Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other hotel equipment.Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure guest comfort.Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs without disrupting guest services.Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for efficient operations.Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.Respond promptly to guest requests and emergencies, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service.Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, as well as equipment manuals and warranties.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve department efficiency and effectiveness.What you bring: (Skills and Abilities)Proven experience as an Engineering Supervisor or similar role in a hotel environment.Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality service delivery.Certification or degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the needs of the hotel.Working Conditions & Physical Effort:Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50lbs or more. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
