*Job Summary * The Insulation Installer will learn MAREK’s processes and procedures while working under the direction and guidance of experienced mechanics, leadmen, and Field supervisors to develop a foundation of knowledge in commercial construction. The helper is responsible for assisting the mechanic and other high-level team members. *Job Duties & Responsibilities* · Demonstrates knowledge of trade materials and including names and applications; demonstrates competence handling materials. For example, wire up insulation, batt insulation, rigid insulation, edge of slab, sprayed insulation, and fireproofing. · Can properly operate most common trade tools: manual caulking guns, battery operated cordless caulking guns, airless spray equipment, etc. · Accurately takes and gives measurements. · Ability to keep up with spray machine when installing SFRM and sprayed insulation. · Knows how to properly prepare and protect work area when installing SFRM and sprayed insulation. · Proficiently weighs materials at pump and nozzle to verify product density. · Basic understanding of equipment needed for SFRM and sprayed insulation. · Basic understanding of mixing materials · Introduction to construction drawings *Job Qualifications* · Experience in construction industry and/or environment a plus. · Basic knowledge of construction math (math). · Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions. · Ability to learn and operate power tools, hand tools and other equipment. · Communicates and works well with others. · Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. *Working conditions* · Indoor and outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions and temperatures such as inclement weather, heat, humidity, and cold. · Exposure to vibrations from construction equipment and typical construction noise that may exceed normal decibel levels. *Physical requirements* · Continuous standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching. · Good manual dexterity to perform precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls. · Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds in a regular basis.
