Accounting Associate

Ledgent Finance and Accounting is seeking an Accounting Associate for Direct hire opportunity with a non profit partner of ours in the St Paul area! Pay: $22-$24/hr Fully onsite Full benefits, PTO, 403b match ASAP Start Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice entry, coding, and payment tracking Prepare and post basic journal entries under supervision Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliationsSupport month-end close by preparing schedules and reports Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentationResearch and resolve transaction discrepancies Assist with financial reporting, audits, and compliance requests Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve accounting issues Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or progress toward degree) 0-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or relevant internship experience Basic understanding of accounting principlesExperience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics) preferred Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
