RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve Sales Goals: Deliver Sales Fundamentals (Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing) goals across all principals on agreed retail priorities.
Enhance Sales Coverage: Maintain continual improvement of sales coverage and productivity of the Retail Selling Organization.
Policy Compliance: Monitor and ensure Company policy is followed by the Retail Selling Organization.
Collaborate and Communicate: Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with supervisors and principals on all major detail initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc.).
Build Relationships: Call on and develop relationships with key operations decision-makers to enable Business Managers to achieve the principals’ objectives.
Lead and Train: Act as a trainer for team-mates, lead on projects, and may be assigned to key accounts.
Primary Operations Contact: Serve as a primary operations contact for the Customer Business Team.
Coordinate Events: Coordinate theme merchandising events that cross over two or more departments.
Expert Resource: Be an expert resource to General Managers and Business Managers for all operations issues, and effectiveness of both full-time and part-time members.
Support Communication: Assist Business Managers and multi-function resources to communicate customer needs, objectives, and future plans.
Reporting and Tracking: Coordinate the regional reporting and tracking needs (RW3, surveys, etc.) to ensure consistency and control.
Utilize Technology: Effectively and properly use technology including RW3, communication of retail priorities, and coverage analyses to have effective feedback and measurement systems.
Data Analysis: Analyze retail condition data reports to improve in-store presence results.
Personal Development: Ensure personal development of Unit Managers and conduct annual Performance Agreements. Oversee the training and development of full-time and part-time reps.
Optimize Selling Effectiveness: Understand and optimize the selling effectiveness of the Retail Sales Organization. Identify areas for improvement.
Recruiting and Maintenance: Conduct recruiting of Retail Associates, maintain incident files, and personnel auto inspection.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.
Experience: Five years of prior retail management experience, food broker and set responsibility experience required. Prior supervisory experience required.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and sales skills. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a car for extended periods. Willingness to work in extremely cold environmental conditions (i.e., refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
