Our job is simple: create containment, resolve the hazards, and return your space to a safe and healthy environment.Position Overview:The Asbestos Crew Leader is primarily responsible for leading crews performing day-to-day environmental services, including asbestos abatement, mold remediation, and duct cleaning.This position oversees daily job site operations to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. The Asbestos Crew Leader ensures all crew members consistently follow established procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols related to asbestos handling, removal, and disposal.The Crew Leader maintains high standards of quality assurance and attention to detail by inspecting work in progress and completed tasks to confirm regulatory compliance and company quality standards. A critical responsibility of this role is the accurate, thorough, and timely completion of all required job documentation, including safety logs, job photos, compliance records, and project close-out paperwork.Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as the Asbestos Crew Leader serves as a primary point of contact between crew members, supervisors, project management, and customers. This role requires effective coordination to meet project goals, schedules, and deadlines while balancing productivity with safety and compliance.The Asbestos Crew Leader represents the company professionally on all job sites and demonstrates excellent customer service when interacting with clients and property owners. This position sets the standard for safe practices, quality workmanship, and professional conduct on every project.Key Responsibilities:Direct and lead crews to perform job duties in accordance with industry standardsMaintain complete and accurate job site documentationEnsure quality control on all job sitesMaintain and enforce safety standards on all job sitesCommunicate effectively throughout the mitigation process with customers, project managers, and mitigation supervisorsComplete all assigned work to the highest quality standardsComplete all assignments in a timely and efficient mannerParticipate in the company's 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to emergency work as scheduled or as needed for large-scale eventsOperate company vehicles in a safe and professional mannerFollow all company and regulatory safety standardsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of experience (5+ years preferred)High School Diploma or GED requiredTwo or more years of experience in the environmental services industryHands-on experience with asbestos and mold remediation and duct cleaning methods and equipmentAbility to perform all duties of an Environmental Technician satisfactorilyMinimum of one year of leadership experienceAbility to follow direction and company proceduresAbility to lift a minimum of 50 poundsValid driver's licenseAbility to pass a drug test and background screeningExcellent communication skillsStrong customer service skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to complete daily job documentation accurately and timelyWork Environment and Physical Demands:This position is generally exposed to normal hazards associated with the construction environment.This role requires occasional use of safety equipment (e.g. ear protection, goggles, safety glasses, Tyvek suits, high-visibility clothing, gloves, hard hats, and respirators). PPE is provided to the employee.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periodsThe ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to bend, push, pull, and crawlThe employee must be able to work with chemicals, primarily normal, biodegradable, and basic cleaning products, and should not be chemically sensitive.The employee will work in a variety of environments, including hot, cold, wet, moist, dirty, clean, and odor-prone conditions. The employee must be able to work in and around soiled, unclean, or unsanitary building and facility structures once those areas have been confirmed safe from health hazards. The position requires the ability to work in inclement or adverse weather conditions year-round.This position is considered safety-sensitive, meaning the employee's performance directly impacts the safety of themselves and others.
