We are seeking an Applied Science intern to specialize in hardware signal train design for quantum computing. The role involves designing and validating hardware for the control and readout of Amazon quantum processors, from room to cryogenic temperatures. Responsibilities Design cryogenic and room‑temperature PCB‑based hardware for signal conditioning and control functions. Develop validation tests using benchtop and cryogenic setups with quantum devices. Explore enabling control technologies necessary for commercially viable quantum computers. Basic Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Minimum 40 hours per week, 12‑week internship. Ability to relocate to internship location. Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Technology, Science, Operations Research, Robotics, Mathematics or related fields. Hands‑on lab skills (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers, soldering). Working knowledge of at least one CAE circuit and mechanical design tool. Preferred Qualifications Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results. Publications at top‑tier peer‑reviewed conferences or journals. Solid background with basic electrical circuit blocks (op‑amps, biasing circuits, filtering, low‑speed data converters, microprocessors). Previous experience with VHDL. Familiarity with RF/Microwave circuit theory (transmission lines, impedance matching).
