Position Type:PARAPROFESSIONAL/Elementary- Time Out Room ModeratorDate Posted:1/12/2026Location:Woodlawn ElementaryDate Available:02/02/2026Closing Date:02/13/2026Job Title: Time out Room ModeratorReports To: Immediate SupervisorPrepared By: The Division of Human ResourcesBoard Approved Date:Pay Grade Range: CLH03 (ParaProfessional)TE308 to TI112 (Certified Secondary Teacher)Summary: The Time Out Room Moderator will supervise students assigned to the Time Out Room.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receives and processes students who have been removed for disruptive behaviorsProvides an environment wherein strict discipline is maintainedAssists students with assignments, if applicableConsults individually and/or in groups the students assigned to the Time Out RoomNotifies the parents/guardians and appropriate school personnel of the students assigned to the Time Out RoomMaintains accurate, complete and correct records as related to the Time Out RoomMonitors the completion of assigned class work given to the studentsProvides follow-up to students, parents and teachersEngages in continuous training and staff developmentOther Duties:Other duties as assigned that are related to the functions of the position.Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:Education and Experience:Elementary TOR Moderator: High school diploma or high school equivalent. Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours with required courses); or received an Associate's degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher learning; or a minimum score of 450 on the ETS Parapro Exam.Secondary TOR Moderator: Must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and hold a valid teaching certificate.Work Environment Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
