Director of Construction – Electrical ContractorLocation: In‑office (with periodic site visits)A leading electrical contracting firm is seeking a highly skilled Director of Construction to oversee field operations, project delivery, and construction execution across commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role requires a bilingual leader with deep electrical trade expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to drive performance, safety, and quality across multiple teams.The Director of Construction will work primarily from the corporate office, with occasional site visits to support field leadership, ensure project alignment, and maintain strong client relationships.ResponsibilitiesProvide executive‑level oversight of all construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.Lead, mentor, and support project managers, superintendents, and field teams across multiple concurrent electrical projects.Implement and enforce company standards for safety, quality, productivity, and documentation.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, inspectors, and trade partners.Support hiring, training, and development of field leadership and craft personnel.Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to strengthen project delivery.Lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and closeout processes.Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and industry best practices.Qualifications:Bilingual (English + Spanish) – required to effectively lead diverse field teams.Active Journeyman Electrician License – required; Master Electrician preferred.10+ years of electrical construction experience, including field leadership and project oversight.Proven experience managing commercial or industrial electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout.Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, safety standards, and code compliance.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability.Excellent communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.Proficiency with construction management tools, scheduling software, and project documentation platforms.Why Join Us:Competitive compensation with bonusesVehicle Allowance + Gas cardFull benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k)Paid time off, holidays, and continuing education supportA stable, reputable company with a strong pipeline of work
