Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and culinary techniques, with a focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and smooth food preparation and service
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Lead and supervise line cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Ensure all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures are strictly followed
Assist with menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Monitor food quality and consistency across all dishes served
Support catering events and special functions as required
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or culinary environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Experience with menu planning and culinary innovation
Ability to lead a team effectively in a high-pressure setting
Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
Fine dining experience or experience in the food industry is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
Knowledge of catering services, serving standards, and kitchen operations
