## About the RoleAonic is seeking a Founding Full Stack Engineer to own engineering and help build Aonic Club, an AI-native membership business focused on reducing consumer costs. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have broad ownership across product development, infrastructure, automation, AI agents, internal tools, data systems, storefront performance, and privacy/compliance.Your first priority will be building the Aonic Club membership MVP on the existing Shopify + Recharge stack, with a planned launch by October 1. After launch, you will lead continued engineering efforts across the consumer application, AI-powered agents, internal systems, and engineering architecture.This is an onsite, high-collaboration role designed for an engineer who has already shipped consumer software used by real customers and wants significant product and technical ownership.## Key Responsibilities* Build the Aonic Club web application using the existing Shopify + Recharge stack.* Own maintenance, improvements, and ongoing development of the membership storefront after launch.* Monitor and optimize page speed, application performance, and third-party scripts and pixels.* Ensure tracking and consent tools remain properly configured and aligned with privacy regulations such as CPRA.* Own engineering architecture, technology stack decisions, security, vendors, contractors, and databases supporting the club.* Lead development of the React Native consumer application from the ground up after the membership MVP launches, with an iOS-first approach.* Build LLM-powered agents and internal tools that can operate unattended in production.* Develop evaluations, monitoring, and appropriate human-in-the-loop processes for AI-powered systems.* Use AI, automation, and low-code tools to improve execution speed and quality across functions.* Build internal tools, scripts, and workflows that reduce manual work.* Identify opportunities to replace repetitive effort with reliable systems and automation.* Work directly with the CEO on high-priority product, infrastructure, and special projects.* Move between product and infrastructure decisions as business priorities require.* Collaborate across functions in a highly hands-on environment.## Required Qualifications* Experience shipping a consumer product as an engineer that has been used by real customers.* Proven full-stack production engineering experience.* Strong proficiency with TypeScript and React.* Experience with Node.js and/or Python.* Track record of shipping reliable software quickly using modern AI development tools.* Degree from a top-tier university in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience through shipped work.* Strong ownership and willingness to take responsibility for broad engineering areas.* Ability to work in a high-intensity environment with a schedule of 8 AM–7 PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM–5 PM Fridays.* Ability to work onsite in San Francisco.## Preferred Qualifications* Experience building and deploying LLM-powered agents.* Experience creating AI evaluations, monitoring systems, and human-in-the-loop workflows.* Experience with automation and internal tooling.* Experience with React Native and mobile application development.* Experience with Shopify and Recharge.* Experience working with privacy, consent, and compliance requirements such as CPRA.* Experience generating content and using authentic storytelling as part of product or business development.* Strong product and design judgment.* Experience working across product, infrastructure, and business functions.## Skills & Competencies* Full-stack software engineering* TypeScript* React* Node.js* Python* React Native* Shopify* Recharge* AI and LLM-powered applications* AI agents and automation* Internal tools and workflow development* Production software development* Application performance optimization* Software architecture* Databases and infrastructure* Security and privacy* Monitoring and evaluation* Product development* Cross-functional collaboration## Work Arrangement & Schedule* **Location:** San Francisco, California, United States* **Office:** Jackson Square* **Work Arrangement:** Onsite* **Schedule:** 8 AM–7 PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM–5 PM Friday## Compensation & Benefits* **Base Salary:** $130,000–$160,000 per year.* Substantial equity.* Compensation is described as targeting significant annual upside through equity.* Direct collaboration and exposure to the CEO.* Ownership of engineering without a manager layer between the engineer and CEO.* Small, highly driven team with a no-bureaucracy environment.* Access to modern AI development tools.## Company & Role Environment* Founding engineering role with broad technical and product ownership.* Direct involvement in decisions shaping the company.* High-agency, hands-on environment where engineers are expected to identify problems and execute solutions.* Opportunity to work across consumer applications, AI agents, automation, infrastructure, product, and internal systems.**Apply Now:** Apply for the Founding Full Stack Engineer position to be considered for this opportunity.
