Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionDelta Point is seeking a Computer Scientist to support mission-critical Department of Defense programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.This role focuses on end-to-end analytical pipeline development, leveraging data to support senior military and government leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate will be capable of advancing data analytics beyond descriptive reporting into diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive (course of action) insights.The position requires expertise in Army Vantage, Microsoft Power Platform, AI integration, and military logistics data, enabling scalable and intelligent analytics solutions across enterprise systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines supporting the full analytics lifecycle:Descriptive (dashboards & reporting)Diagnostic (root cause analysis)Predictive (trend modeling)Prescriptive (recommended courses of action)Extract, clean, and integrate data from enterprise systems (e.g., GCSS-A, LMP) using Python and SQLDevelop and scale Army Vantage and Power BI dashboards for leadership usePerform advanced data analysis and provide actionable insights and executive-level reportingSupport ad hoc data requests and analytical requirements from stakeholdersBuild and maintain automation scripts, ETL pipelines, and workflow solutionsIntegrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) to:Enhance analytics processesEnable non-technical users to navigate and troubleshoot Army VantageConnect and streamline workflows across Microsoft Power Platform toolsDevelop and automate business processes using:Power BIPower AutomatePower AppsSharePointApply domain knowledge of military logistics and supply chain data, including:LINs, NSNs, NIINsReadiness and on-hand metricsEnsure compliance with DoD data governance, cybersecurity, and security standardsProvide training, documentation, and user support for analytics tools and solutionsRequirementsActive Secret Security ClearanceBachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related roles in DoD or federal environmentsStrong proficiency in:PythonSQLExperience developing dashboards using:Army VantageMicrosoft Power BIExperience working with structured and unstructured data sourcesUnderstanding of end-to-end analytical pipeline developmentKnowledge of data governance, compliance, and cybersecurity best practicesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDesired / Preferred QualificationsExperience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration in analytics or business processesExperience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint)Experience supporting Army Vantage environmentsExperience building data automation, ETL processes, or workflow optimization solutionsFamiliarity with military logistics or supply chain systems (e.g., GCSS-A, LMP)Experience supporting Army or DoD logistics missionsCandidates must also have experience with several of the following:Front-End DevelopmentReact / React NativeHTML, JavaScript / TypeScriptCharting frameworks (eCharts, D3, PowerBI)RBAC, session storage, and state managementFamiliarity with DoD branding and UX guidelinesBack-End & DataPython, FastAPISQL / SQLiteModular architecture and event/queue systemsData pipelines and services integrationAI/ML API integrationExperience with Vantage/Foundry platforms (preferred)
