Microsoft Engineer

We are seeking at M365 Engineer with deep expertise in M365, Exchange migrations, tenant‑to‑tenant data movement, and systems troubleshooting. This role is essential for onboarding newly acquired offices, migrating users to a unified email and cloud platform, and ensuring seamless operational continuity during integrations.This position requires extensive travel (55–65% annually), strong customer‑facing communication skills, and the ability to work independently in dynamic, changing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and troubleshoot M365 and Exchange migration projects across multiple offices.Perform Office 365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams validation.Manage and migrate Email Domain Hosting, including registrar changes and MX record updates.Recreate Outlook profiles, troubleshoot mail‑flow issues, and run PowerShell commands to extract legacy Exchange data.Travel to offices to conduct site surveys, document hardware/software systems, and define integration work efforts.Migrate server data and client permissions into an enterprise Azure Cloud environment.Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.Work with DevOps and NetOps teams to deploy solutions for corporate users.Monitor and test application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement fixes.Maintain security, backup, and business continuity strategies.Provide escalation support and end‑user training for email and cloud systems.Document technical requirements, runbooks, deployment guides, issues, and resolutions.Top Technical RequirementsStrong background supporting and troubleshooting M365 and Exchange migrations.Hands‑on experience with Office 365 Admin Console / Admin Center.Ability to independently change Email Domain MX records and manage mail‑flow transitions.Experience migrating and validating SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams between tenants.Ability to interact directly with customers in fast‑moving integration environments.Experience running PowerShell for Exchange data extraction.Experience working with vendors to update email preferences.Experience with M365 migration tools (AdminDroid 365, AvePoint Fly, ShareGate Migrate, BitTitan, etc.).Strong Microsoft Outlook troubleshooting skills (including command‑line switches).Experience with virtualization (VMWare), monitoring systems (PRTG, Nagios), and backup/replication tools (Backup Exec, Double‑Take, RecoverPoint, Veeam).Soft SkillsExcellent communication and leadership abilities.Comfortable writing technical requirements, runbooks, deployment guides, and documentation.Ability to work with minimal direction and collaborate with distributed teams.Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.Customer‑focused mindset, especially in changing or fast‑paced environments.Travel RequirementsTravel 55–65% of the year, varying month‑to‑month based on integration schedules.Must live within 1 hour of a major airport.
