CMM Programmer

CMM Programmer / Operator *$28–$40/Hour Based on Experience | Full-Time | Day & Night Shift* *Night Shift:* 12% shift differential *Overtime Available | $100K+ Annual Earning Potential | 4-Day Workweek Option* We are seeking an experienced *CMM Programmer / Operator* to join a precision manufacturing and quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CMM inspection and programming experience who enjoys working with precision components, engineering drawings, CAD models, and tight tolerances. The *CMM Programmer / Operator* will program and operate coordinate measuring equipment, inspect finished components, document inspection results, and work closely with production and quality teams to identify and resolve dimensional issues. CMM Programmer / Operator – Responsibilities * Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect precision-manufactured components. * Create and modify inspection programs using *PC-DMIS* and/or Verisurf. * Work from 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models. * Measure finished parts and verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. * Interpret engineering drawings and apply *GD&T* requirements. * Modify existing inspection programs to improve efficiency and inspection accuracy. * Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections. * Generate inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records. * Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges. * Troubleshoot CMM programs, measurement issues, and inspection discrepancies. * Communicate inspection results with production, quality, and management personnel. * Identify potential quality issues and assist with corrective actions. * Perform routine CMM maintenance and assist with gauge calibration. * Assist with inspection fixtures and other quality-related projects. * Operate an overhead crane when necessary to move larger components or inspection fixtures. CMM Programmer / Operator – Required Qualifications * *3+ years of CMM programming and inspection experience.* * *PC-DMIS experience required.* * Experience working with CAD files and 3D models. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Strong understanding of *GD&T and tight-tolerance inspection*. * Proficient with standard precision measuring equipment. * Previous experience in a manufacturing, machining, or quality environment. * Familiarity with *ISO 9001 and/or AS9100* quality systems preferred. * Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. * Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work independently while also working effectively with production and quality teams. CMM Programmer / Operator – Preferred Experience The following experience is a plus but is not required: * Verisurf experience. * Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience. * Machining or tooling experience. * Experience with *NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA*, or similar CAD software. * Experience with *DEA or Renishaw CMM equipment*. CMM Programmer / Operator – Compensation & Schedule * *$28–$40/hour*, based on experience. * *12% shift differential for night shift.* * Overtime opportunities available. * Potential to earn *$100,000+ annually with overtime.* * *4-day workweek option with no required overtime.* * Day and night shift opportunities. * Full-time employment.
