This internship offers both office and field experience, exposing you to energy systems, sustainable infrastructure, treatment facilities, dams, and reservoirs.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with field reconnaissance and data collection for energy projectsSupport preliminary report preparation and field verificationAnalyze energy data using Excel and pivot tablesConduct research, maintain data tracking systems, and organize filesComplete required City training modulesWhat You BringPursuing a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering or Electrical/Energy Engineering TechnologyMinimum of two years of college completedCurious, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work collaborativelyPreferred Certifications* Valid Indiana Driver's License, or* Valid driver's license with certified driving record if using a City vehicleSkills & KnowledgeStrong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skillsAbility to read and apply technical information, diagrams, and calculationsEffective verbal and written communicationAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing prioritiesWhy Work for the City of Fort WayneGain hands-on experience with energy systems and sustainability projects while learning from professional engineers.
